5 Lessons From the American Revolution in South Carolina In-Person
Lecture by Dr. Edward Lee, Professor of History.
Over 400 battles, skirmishes, encounters occurred in South Carolina during the American Revolution. No part of our state was exempt from this conflict. In recognition of this important historical event, the state legislature established in 2019 the SC250 Commission to celebrate the Patriots who fought in South Carolina from 1775 to 1781. This program focuses on five lessons which can be learned as America celebrates the 250th anniversary of our Revolution in South Carolina.
